Very limited coverage: Kampala + Entebbe + national parks (map)

Plates: white front / yellow rear, long or tall

Kenya: Kampala boxy car → Uganda; follow-SUV → Kenya.

National-park car: like Kampala's but w/ a black bar along the front (visibility varies, often invisible)

Kampala Google car: white, boxy, square side mirrors - unique to Kampala & outskirts

Busy look: many signs, narrow unpaved roads, small 1-storey houses behind walls + barbed wire; soil very red (even paved roads have a red/purple/pink tinge); city is very hilly

Taxi buses w/ a blue blocky side pattern everywhere; city centre = richer, multi-storey, black-white kerbs

Entebbe (SW of Kampala): feels emptier, greener, fancier houses, significantly more street signs

Kidepo NP (NE): big savanna w/ mountains in most directions - most recognisable range east; north road: forested south half, savanna north half w/ a wide mountain to the north

Murchison Falls NP (N end of Lake Albert): low dirt barriers along the roads; savanna west, small trees/bushes east, only a low wide range far west; palms → almost certainly northern Murchison

Kibale NP: 3 coverage types - the country's widest dirt road through dense tropical forest; a small car-width forest road (bright); tiny dark forest paths; Semuliki NP = two parallel humid forest paths, often water drops on the lens

Lake Mburo NP (W of Lake Victoria): by far the driest coverage - completely dried-out grass + dry bushes, hilly but not mountainous

Mt Elgon NP (Kenyan border): western path = forest w/ steep upslope east + very dark red dirt; eastern path = small palm-like trees on open hills + a rifle-carrying man in green following the trekker

Queen Elizabeth NP (N of Lake Edward): one of the only places w/ non-red (brown/grey) dirt; tree-shaped cacti; water-filled craters (north, nowhere else); the only paved road outside Kampala (white outers + yellow middle, powerline east, hills north); Katwe = the only real village w/ coverage outside Kampala
