Pole-plate metas: east = tall vertical yellow/white plates on black zip ties (don't confuse w/ the wider 6-digit white plates on metal ties); west = horizontal plates (vertical eastern plate wins if both); thin yellow plates w/ black border → Colón; wind turbines → around Penonomé

Distinct roads: Ngäbe-Buglé main road = high-altitude above the clouds, dry mountains; Changuinola road = lush green hills, always overcast; Hwy 9 (Panama City→Colón) = divided grainy concrete w/ tar lines; Road 407 = fresh pavement + orange roadside soil
